Thumbs up What Do You Think?

`99 Toyota Camry CE
Head Unit - Pioneer DEH-1400
Front Door - Pioneer TS-A1767 6-3/4" 3-way Speakers
Rear Deck - Pioneer TS-A6990R 6"x9" 5-way Speakers
I am possibly thinking about adding Visonik V102BP Dual 10" Bandpass Subwoofer. But I don't know where to go from there. any comments/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Get an amplifier. Alpine, Audiobahn, Pheonix Gold, or JBL are my amp suggestions.

How much are you spending on your speakers, I can get you MB Quarts for pretty cheap and they are better than Pioneer anyday. I haven't heard a Visonik woofer, but their speakers are pretty clean aside from when turned up to loud with head unit power. How much do you have to spend? I would look into JL subwoofers, since you are looking at a bandpass box I assume you could careless about the SQ or clearity of the sound of the bass? I have many other things to say, but just tell us a little more.

JL stuff I would suggest if you want a 10

Thumbs up new in the game

as far as car audio goes i'm pretty new in the game thats why i just wanted to stay, "brand loyal," if you will, to pioneer. so i just possibly, correct me if i'm wrong, wanted to find some subs to define my low end, not blow people away and possibly amp the subs (400w?) along with the 6x9s (peak power handling 400 watts) . , its only my first day. please correct me if i'm wrong
ps i bought all of my stuff from crutchfield.com so i wouldn't have to worry about having someone install it for me, wiring harnesses and directions.

I wouldn't have got the pioneers, oh well nothing you can do now, I would get a good clean powered amp for your speakers, approx 75 watts per channel 4 channel amp. If you don't listen to rap all the time, PLEASE PLEASE look into sealed or ported box, not a bandpass. How much do you want to spend on subwoofers? I would buy some decent stuff if you have the money. I would not go with visonik. I would get a higher up brand, there are so many. I would get a sealed box with good power to it. Just tell me what you listen to and how much you want to spend on the subwoofers, box, and amplifier, and I will try to get you the best I can for that, or at least bareable.

well as far as car audio goes, Pioneer is pretty low-level (except for their headunits, those are very good). If you want to spend your money wisely then you should get what you really want the first time, and frankly, for the price you pay at crutchfield, you could get something 10x better for the same price or cheaper.

If you have to go visonik on your subs and amp, do this http://www.electronixwarehouse.com/c...nic-vbb210.htm

http://www.audiodiscounters.com/product_id/847.html
That would be at 4 ohms, I don't know how those subs are setup...
Send your stuff back to cructchfield, speaker wise, I've done it, so don't complain about it. They will accept it. Just say you found something else you wanted instead.

Get these speakers
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=18799
or http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=32819
for the front

and these for the back

I'd use this amp http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=18797

with this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...7&category=3291

for optimal, not to expensive performance.
Use this to power your speakers

yo, get your hands dirty - speaker installation is really quite simple. nothing more then reversing the removal. The deck can go in right quick if you can pull it out easily and the wiring is often self explanitory. it's the only way to learn.

i do kappas all around and they are off the chain, just make sure that they won't hit any of the molding because they move so hard they are likely to hit.

I like them a lot, but honestly I'm considering replacing them with some CDT's or Diamonds. The components I have in the front sound great, but the coax in the back aren't so hot. When I got my amp in I had to turn the crossover for the back up to like 150hz and turn the gain down to keep them from "flopping". Now it sounds great, but I might even replace the rears with some midbass drivers...who knows. I have a feeling I'll never be happy enough, lol.
