Tornado

I've seen the Tornado advertised on television. They say that it helps increase MPG and HP.

Does anyone know if it really works or not?

Dude you started 4 threads in the same day in this section, why dont you just ask each of your questions in the same thread? I dont mean to be a jerk but it would be alot better.

All the tornado is, is a waste of money it dosent decrease power and it doesnt increase power or gain gas mileage all it does is make your wallet lighter.

The tornado does the same thing your intake runners already do swirl the dam air it doesnt do shit for your hp I've looked up half a dozen dynos on this "tornado" thing and they all show minimal gains or slight losses save you money and buy an intake.

I'm a little slow(like my car) on this one but I'm gonna quote myself on this.
Quote:
I think an old Sport Compact Car of mine said they do jack shit. Well actually increase gas milage by something close to 1%. But other then that they tested it on a dyno and used a full tank off gas on it and it pretty much did nothing but add weight to the car. I think they used it on an Integra, but my memory is fuzzy and I can't find that mag.

The Tornado is a joke. Air swirling? OOoohh, I am so impressed.

The low down. The Tornado is totally useless. To assist your engine to breathe more air, you can install a high-flow air filter. That's an inexpensive way. The only other way is to take out the air filter, but that's not good.
An engine breathes or pulls in air, air is not pushed in. The swirling effect of the Tornado doesn't provide more air, the "swirling effect" demonstrations are for those who are uninformed and willing to lose some money.
To push in more air requires a ram air intake, where air pressure pushing in is stronger than the air pressure pulling in air. To pull in more air requires a supercharger/blower or turbocharger.

don't buy one! My friend bought one for his accord and the only thing he gained was a few cuts on his fingers!
He took his car to the local import shop for tunning and they almost laughed his ass out the door!

save your money
