Tornado Fuel Saver.....

a lot of people probably seen em or heard about em. Its a little turbine type thing that goes in the MAF thats suppose to increase power and save fuel. The thing is that I didnt really believe in that crap. But my uncle was over our house and he bought two of them a little while ago...he installed one on his Chevy Venture (the van) and said he notices a much better throttel responce and some fuel saved. His wife owns a 99 G20, and he is going to install it on hers soon, and tell me what improvements it had. Why I am saying is that I heard a lot of talk about this thing before and not many liked them...and I just had proof that it did work. But ill see what happens after he puts it in the G20. later

Put the car on a dyno before and after and show me the proof. I've done too many "mods" and drove around and said, "Gee willakers, I think it made me much faster." When in actuality, they prolly did shit for me.

he said that when you step on the gas, the car reacts quicker and gains speed a little quicker. But I also heard some talk that it might do a little good for bigger engines, but does shit for smaller engines.

Well, I can sorta see how it would work if it was powered, like if it was an actual fan in the intake pipe, but all it does is "spin" with the already incoming air. all that would do is slow the air down or restrict air from entering.

so why doesnt someone think up of an actual fan that spins? It be good if the fan was powered too, so it would force the air coming in to move faster. I dunno, just an idea.

I think cuz the speed which is needed to spin the turbine and to create enough flow is impossible. Turbos spin at around 100,000Rpm I believe.

Well there is something like that. It's called Turbozet or something like that. There is a website.
A friend of mine have installed in his primera (2000) and he said he has gain a lot of power. Not dyno tested, but he has race his car against a friend, and he has notice the diference. Also he is getting better milleage.

I know is an electric fan, that is connected in some way to the ignition.

The Turbo Zet is also really expensive. you could prolly get an exhaust powered turbo for that price

I got bored one day and watched the infomercial for the tornado. There are no structurally moving parts throughout the system. It simply ducts the air into a vortech for "creating better combustion"
