friend with OZ Rally
ok.. i have a good friend with a Lancer OZ rally, it came slightly modified from the dealership where he bought it somehow, but is there any simple things we could do to give it more power without going crazy? hes saving up for the evo7 , but who knows how long that will take, he has an intake and test pipes with muffler so far

Saving up for the Evo 8 is the best thing he could do.

Bullshit. There are turbocharged Lancers out there that can easily take stock WRX's in a line. Of course that's just one aspect of tuning a car, but you dismissive attitude doesn't give fair representation to the ES/LS/OZ models of the Lancer.
Though few and far between, there are some quick Lancers out there and more coming every day. The 4g94 (though limited by the pistons, connecting rods and head bolts) is very responsive to boost. Many people are putting down 170-180whp at only 5psi of boost with their Lancers. Whether it's worth it or not is a question for the tuner to determine, but I'm sick of people saying the Lancer is a waste of time.
