'96 Escort 1/4 mile.
I was bored at work today so i decided to see what the 96 Escort i drive could do in the 1/4 mile. Obviously my method of timing and measuring distance was not totally accurate, but i kept coming up consistantly with 19.37 sec. Does that sound right for a 96 escort? too fast? too slow? Just want to see if my method is decent for checking on my own car to get some sort of idea where i am in the 1/4 mile.

it's easier since i'm in canada though because a quarter mile is 0.4km, right? Yea that's the car i drive at work. Slow as hell. I just wanted to see if the time i got is close to what a 96 escort should be running at.

Quote:
0.4km.. or 400 Meters is close to a 1/4. A bit shorter, 1/4 mile is 1320ft exactly. 400 meters is 1000ft. So add time to your figures... you're deep into the 20's.
