89 crx si -standing facing the engine-

ok i tried to go see where the hoses all were going and this is what i came up with: (forgive me if i dont know the technicals terms lol)

-i dont have a hose connecting to the big plug on the valve cover (i know a hose from the intake goes there, just dont have an intake yet).

-i have nothing connected to the "L" shaped plug (it resembles an L, but it comes out a lil and bends to the right). its to the right of where the throttle cable hooks in.

~~the 2 black bottle looking things that are mounted on the firewall & have hoses comming from the~~heres where the hoses run:

-the bottle thing on the right, its middle (or side) hose is ran to the top piece of the lil black round cylinder thing.

-the bottom hoses of the 2 bottle things are connected with a "Y" shaped connector. and then it has a single hose that runs to the plug on the throttle body (the plug is the farthest left, the plug is in between the P and G in PGM-FI)

-a hose attached to the bottom of a screw looking thingy (to the right of the bottle thingy) has a hose connecting to a "Y" connector. and connects to the side hose on the left bottle thingy. and that has a single hose that runs to a plug behind the intake, right behind where the throttle cable hooks in.

i hope this helped some, i tried explaing clear as i could. thanks alot

How did you hook up the purge valve (vacuum hose that comes from charcoal canister)? Did you customize the throttle body or...????

ok, this is as detaield as i feel like getting right now

on my car I only have one black canister on the firewall, and it has 3 hoses, on about 3/8" and thren next to it a 1/2" hose with a 1/4" right above it. on my throttle body right next to the MAP sensor there is a fitting that goes to the 1/2" hose on the canister. the little 1/4 inch one i got going nowhere cuz i got no where for it(anybody wanna tell me where it goes?) the 3/8" one that is by itself on the canister, if you follow it runs into a metal line, and if you follow that it makes its way over to the drivers side and goes under the car, where the 3 hoses are, the middle one comes from the fuel rail, the drivers side one is where the 3/8" hose goes. on the intake manifold, on the side facing the valve cover, there is 2 fittings, the smaller one goes to the top of the fuel pressure regulator, and the larger one goes to a fitting that is inbetwen the 3rd and 4th runner close to the head. and on the back of the intake manifold there should be a large, about 3/4" hose going to the brake booster.

those are all the hoses i got involving manifold, throttle body and canister. but my car is a 94 hatch, so I dont knowq how close your car is to mine, and i am pretty sure it is the ZC's manifold cuz I got one from a LX and was gonna put it on and it wouldnt have bolted up, but maybe the throttle body is the stock CX throttle body, in which case your MAP might be different, maybe the kind that comes form the back of the intake manifold.

You have the same problem

The hose that you have hanging is the one that goes to the purge valve. I don't know exactly what it does, some sort of emissions control system. I believe our cars are very similiar, if you look on the inside of your hood (providing it is still stock) there is a picture of the vacuum routing system. I don't like that hose hanging out and was trying to figure out how to get it hooked up properly. thanks for the reply.
