Talking Buick LaSaber

Hi. I have a 1989 Buick LaSaber. My climate control does not work. when I start the car and the air conditioning is on it either comes out the defrost vent or out the air conditioning vent but it is random. When I push the outside temp button it always says -30 no mater what the tempeture is. In the winter when I turn the heat on the tempeture setting has to be around 70 or it cooks you out. I don't know if I need to replace the HAVC or something else. If you have any Ideas please let me know.

your climate control panel, the thing with the buttons on it, sounds like its shot. It's quite pricy to replace from my understanding.

I would first try a new outside air temp sensor!! -30 is the default valve of the sensor. It is only a little plastic thing attached near your radiator. The part is less than 20 dollars and you could easyily change it yourself.

My way of thinking when I am not sure of the repair is I try the cheaper part first!!!

doh! Flatrater is right as usual. I remember now when we got our first Park Ave, that was the first thing to go wrong.
