125 in SI

hey thats pretty awsome, i only asked becasue i havent had the chance to open SI up yet and all these people in the 140's are tlakin about Vtechs. but its completely stock. I srove my buddies 91 eclipse and got up to 106 on I-95... but it wouldnt have gone much faster without drafting behind a semi... so i was hoping and praying my lude would stomp his eclipse. im going to do intake exhaust and headers.... could i hit 125 with that?

you should almost hit that with a stock prelude si.
http://www.92lude.com/carspecs.html says at 6500rpm in 5th it tops at 127mph so you should get close.

bigger rims/tires

well if i put 18's on (not sure between 18's or 17's) the RPMS wouldnt be quite as bad.. maybe 125 in the 6000-6100 range.... right??

The speedometer must be way off in my '88 si. It read 133mph @~6000rpms. I could have gone faster, but thats when my passenger told me to... "SLOW DOWN !!!"

My Lude does not have the original engine in it. It has the B20A, which i don't know much about. I read somewhere that there is a de-tuned USDM B20A that has 145hp, 15hp less than the JDM version. Can anyone verify this?? I am dying to know the Truth about my engine. So if anyone has some info on it, I would greatly apreciate it!!

FYI- At those speeds, the car felt very stable!!! Didn't scare me a bit!!!

In my 94 Prelude Si, non-vtec I hit 124 with just intake and i also had 2 other people in the car, plus 2 12's, 2 amps, and a speaker box. I love my prelude...thats why i'm having a JDM H22 put in it. We little work you should spank a lot of rice burners out there.

I'm calling bullshit, you can't fit two other people in a 4gen without first cutting one in half.
