note to self: our cupholders SUCK

funny that we were just discussing this the other day.

note to self: never put a burger king large soda in the armrest cupholder

note to self: never floor it to beat out a yellow <-- turn arrow with soda in said cupholder.

physics in daily life! the car went

<-- THAT WAY,

the cup kept going

^
| thataway!

newtons first law.

but the funny thing was - the cup stayed in the cupholder the entire time. it took the cupholder WITH IT.

you can imagine how much effort went into beating this yellow arrow.

so now i'm cleaning my floor mats. those plastic cup lids dont seem very helpful.

You should drink about half of it before you start driving. They only spill when they are full and you are really thirsty.

I droped a full drink a couple weeks ago. Fortunately the previous owner scotchgarded the carpet. The entire mass of liquid was wobbleing around in a bubble. Wierdest thing ever. I then had to stop and get paper towels and a new drink.

after almost 3 years of having my car this is the first time cleaning the floor mats.. i figured might as well to em all... and omg, there was SOOO much dirt in them it was crazy. there probably still is - i sprayed 409 on them (cuz thats the only cleaner i had), let it sit, then put them in the shower to scrub away the dirt and 409 out of it, and i'm looking at all this dirt in the water going down the drain, and i'm scrubbing these mats for about an hour (like, seriously an hour... constantly), and even after an hour you can still see dirt coming out of them.

some job infiniti does cleaning your car for you when you take it in for sevice :|

Have you been to Burgermaster in Kirkland? Or any drive-in for that matter. Try to put the cup on the dash and you'll find there is no place to put because it is curved so much. Open the glove box and boom you got a place to set your cup.

Beleive it or not, the P10s had a cup holder available, it was an outrageously priced option, seriously in the hundreds of dollars. It goes in the slot below the HVAC controls. Not to usefull if you want to turn the air on, mess with the stereo or shift gears.

About the only thing good I have found about the cupholder in a P11 is that it holds my air freshener perfectly. The cup holder is just a bit larger in diameter, but the air freshener is level with the lower half of the holder. Makes it blend very nicely, and smell good too

i tossed mine out the first day i got the car. unnessary. i never have food in the car. only water is allowed. oh yeah, the other so called "cup holde"r by the shifter, i use that for change. nothing but a can fits in there. oh well, our cars are still phat, don't need a cup holder. good luck with those stains, hope it wan't some dark soda man, or worse, some bright red or orange soda, i totally feel ur pain. Peaceout!

My P10 has the fancy crappy cupholder option! Boy does it suck, too.

I have found that it is easiest with large size drinks to sit them in the center console upder the armrest, using my wallet to wedge the cup up against the front or the rear of it.

That little insert that the cupholder (or the hole if you have no cupholder, or the factory CD if you have it) is a standard sized Nissan thing. I wonder if there is a better cupholder in another Nissan model that can be swapped in? My friend grabbed the center speaker from a 300ZTT and it bolted right in there... then he didn't like that and got this smooth drawer thing from a Maxima that he mounted his nitrous switches in.
