shifter rattle

When I accelerate my shifter shakes and makes a rattling noise. At cruising speed it doesnt, just acceleration. (Its not very loud, just very annoying ) Well, I ordered some Energy Suspension polyurethane replacement bushings and am hoping that will take care of it.

My question is......Has anyone ever had this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

short throw shifter? if so, the linkage is touchign the exhaust cause it to shake. Mine does it in 5th gear and a lil in 3rd and 4th. The way to fix it is to modify (bend) the exahust hangers a lil bit to get the exhaust to hang a lil lower.

Had the same problem with mine, and when I installed the short-throw shifter and urethane bushings, it went away for the most part...

Nah... doesn't matter. If you install the bushings, it should clear up the rattle for you.
