Question What is the....
Longest you have left your computer on before? I have left mine on as long as 6-7 days before. Currently I am going on 2 days.


I really need to find something better to do.

Something else that is strange. Is my idle timer is longer than my online timer.

Just over 7 months straight without turning it off, and was connected for the entire time.

online time: 1 day 16 hours 35 min
idle time: 1 day 17 hours 8 min

id have to say about three weeks. the only time it goes off is if i screw something up. I turn it off every now and then cause it tends to have heat problems sometimes.

In school I'd keep the computer on at all times. I'd reboot and stuff obviously, like when I'd shit all over memory with a bad pointer and all that writing my programs for class. I turn off the compters a night now because we have to pay for electricty.

Only turn it off if i stuff up or it locks up. Mostly on 24/7

That would be me.



It happened because I was signed into AOL first, then AIM last. AOL has a faster idle timer. SO when you see my idle, you are seeing what AOL was set at. For some reason AIM just kept thinking that AOL was idle, even though AOL was closed out.
