WTF is wrong with my brakes???

on my driverside my brakes sound like its rubbing. thats when im not on them at all, when i push the brake it sounds even worse, it horrible sounding. i havent really noticed any difference in my stopping. it doesnt squeal, it does sometimes, but i think it might be just when they are wet. someone help, please!!

your brake pad might be cracked or maybe theres a pebble jammed in it somewhere.
have had both happen to me and has the same effects you are talking about.

id check the brake pad first and make sure its clear of debree (spelled that wrong prob)
if thats not it, you prob need a new brake pad

Check your rotor on that side.. Ive worked in brake shops for a long time and have seen lots of times there is a rust ring built up on the inner/outer edge of the rotor(where the pad dont contact) this rust can build up and making a rubbing noise that is louder when hitting the brakes.. While your there check out the pads for any problems.. Also check out your calipers to be sure they are slidding freely.. sometimes the slides will freeze up and only wear out one pads making some killer noises.. Hope that helps ya some.. Not sure if those will help ya but up here in rustville thats the normal stuff to go wrong.. Later Rick S

thanx to all, im putting in my d16z6 today, ill take that brake apart and see what i find. i gotta lot of shit to do to this car, and only have two days to do it, wish me luck
