something wrong with brakes?

i got a 93 f150 4.9l 5spd 4wd. i got up for work yesterday and it was -10F out and it had rained the night before. i had my parking brake in and when i was driving i would let of the gas and push the clutch in and the truck would drag a little(slow down without brakes on). so i then got to work and could not push the parking brake on. then i left from work it did the same thing. the i went some place to eat and parked the truck and put the parking brake on as much as i could. then when i was leaving truck would need more gas to move and when i took foot of the clutch the pedle only came up half way and i had truck floored after i go clutch to come all the way up. the tires were spinning alittle but not much, and i was burning the hell out of the clutch, the truck would not move then i threw it in 4x4 and gave it some gas it it moved. then later it did it again.

could this be something with the brakes?

Sounds like the emergency brake cable is hung up. They tend to rust and get stuck. Crawl under the truck and grab the cable(s). There are two, one on each side. Look near the rear wheels. Then pull it and wiggle it allot. This should free it up so you can drive the truck. Don this on both sides. Don't use the emergency brake any more. Next spring get in there and spray the heck out of it with something like WD40. That may help. If all this fails then your going to have to replace the cable.

I've also had them freeze in this case put it in a garage with a propane heater and thaw out. But with your temperatures it will probably be what the previous reply stated.
