Unhappy Flat tire follies...

So the other night (Tuesday Night) I was driving to my friends house from the bar, and I was cruising through downtown, when all of a sudden right in front of me, the road was all ripped up from some sort of construction or something. The only sign warning of this was a big "bump" sign waaaaaaay off to the side of the road, and by the time I saw the ripped up section, it was way too late, so I plowed right into it doing about 30mph, and there were pipes and shit all sticking up to where the street-level used to be... some of them stuck out about 5 or 6 inches

Anyways, my passenger side front tire blew. The spare that I have in my hatch (full size Focal F10 rim with Nitto NT-450) was also flat from a nail that got stuck in it sometime last fall... So, I didn't have a spare to use, and I made it most of the way home before the tire was completely flat...

Anyways, went back to Discout tire to see if they could fix the spare tire, and dropped it off, only to go back a few hours later to tell me they couldn't fix it...

So, then yesterday, I took off the one that blew the other night, and took that one down there only to have them tell me the same thing about that one... So I have to buy a new tire, but I'm broke as hell. So, I had to wait until today to get paid and then go back down and have them put a new Nitto on (fortunately they had them in stock)...

So, it's been a couple days without my car, and I hate driving my Jeep unless I absolutely have to...

I wish I could sue the city for not putting up road cones or at least some sort of visible warning signs... Fuckers.

you would def have a case against the city, easpecially if you say that both tires were damaged in the incidentt. you can say there wasnt proper warning of such harsh road conditions.

Re: Flat tire follies...

Well I joined the club of flat tires. Tonight comin home from hanging out w/ friends in Pasco and going over some rail road tracks at about 5-10mph i got some metal in my tire and its flat now. Had to get out in the ghetto and change the tire at midnight but at least i had 2 other cars w/ me so i wasn't alone or anything. I think i might just get 2 new tires though cuz shitty camber wore down the inside bad and its gettin close to needing new ones anyways. It sux rollin on 1 teeny spare and 3 17's, lol

At least you guys have spare tires, I got a can of Fix-a-flat, never bothered to get a spare tire, even though, I'd rather use a spare than a can of Fix-a-flat since it ruins the tire after you use it.

fix a flat was not meant to be a tire repair, its only good to let you drive to a tire shop to have them repair it right, read the label, its a temporary fix.
