Unhappy strange whistling noise

Hi I have a 1990 crx si with stock motor... dc headers ac autotechnic cold air intake... everytime i push on the gas i hear this whistling noise (seems like a loose belt but the belts are fine) to the right front area of the hood .. When i open the hood and press the throtle really fast i get that noise, it seems to be close to where the throttle body is has anyone ever expreienced this problem

My intake whistles a little bit when it's drawing air in, could it be coming from your air filter?

Well, based on the fact that it's related to the air-flow, I'd say that your CAI has a leak somwhere, probably at one of the rubber connectors between joints, or directly at the throttle body. I'd go through with a screw-driver and tighten up the screw-straps (or whatever they're called). Might even want to take the whole CAI out and inspect it for any damage... Don't know what could damage it in your engine bay, but you never know.

Or, now that I think about it more, I suppose it could be the gasket for the throttle body, or for the intake manifold, but I've never really heard of either of those gaskets going bad...
