You can get a cheap reader from wal-mart that plugs into the diagnostic port, under the hood on the passenger side engine bay and it reads off any error codes on the computer. The only software I know of comes with the Tweecer kit, allowing you to change ratios and various other factors, One step up from that is the Tweecer rt (?) which allows data logging. But, I really dont think they work on the v6 mustangs.

you can get yoru codes read at autozone if you have a check engine light....if you wish to tune it there is not much point with out mods, and i dont think there is any kit that will allow you to alter much of anything without getting really expensive.

You dont even need one of those code readers. You can make you car flash out the codes through the headlights. 99 and up Stangs you can get error codes through the digital odometer
