And when i take off in first its like it wants to die on me and moves in first like a snail but when it hits 2000rpm it starts to go like a bat out of hell and i get grey smoke when i start the motor and hit it real hard help please

when you first start the car if it's cold, you should see a white/grey smoke from your tailpipe, thats normal, if its constant then you have a problem.
as far as your vtec- it should be around 5200rpm, those aftermarket chips arent really good to buy, they need to be tuned heavily to optimize performance, they are designed for race motor setups, not street driven cars.

My Civic Type R's VTEC kicks in around 6200 and redlines at 8400. It's a dog below 2000rpms also... It's a Honda four cylinder, no power until about 3000-4000

Sure... but I was just saying all Honda, well all 4 cylinders are dogs at low rpm. I'm sure there's a few exceptions but for the most part you gotta get up in the rpms to gather all your hp and tq.
