Question grey smoke and no power in first

ok i have a gsr motor 12-1 compression i am using a p28 ecu a.k.a 1992 civic si/ex ecu that is programed to run the gsr motor it has a red line of 9100rpm and the v-tec kicks in about 6500 is this right? And when i take off in first its like it wants to die on me and moves in first like a snail but when it hits 2000rpm it starts to go like a bat out of hell and i get grey smoke when i start the motor and hit it real hard help please

The smoke is probably more like bluish color right? That would be oil burning. with a 9100 rpm redline in a gsr I would say your cylinder walls are worn or the rings are worn or both. The r/s is not good enough to see 9100 rpm alot. looks like a rebuild and lower redline is in the works for you. Sorry to break it too you.
