Usually the "clicking" sound is an indication that the battery is low. Try charging it REAL slow (2-5 amps) for 8 hours or so. If it still clicks, try replacing the solenoid on the left fender (under the hood).

Re: What Years ??

Can someone show me a picture of where I can get to the starter relay/solenoid on a 94? I'm having problems getting a good connection into the cab.

Re: What Years ??

87-93 had the 5.0 in them. Not sure about earlier than that. The 93 (possibly earlier, can't remember) had the same "basic" engine as the Cobra. If memory serves, the only difference is the intake and cam to give the Cobra 245hp.

Re: What Years ??

Ive been under the impression that all thunderbird engines are the same engines as mustangs of the same years, 3.8, 4.6, 5.0... is that true?

Re: What Years ??

Nope the Thunderbird was given the 4.6 in 94 two years ahead of the mustang, which recieved it in 96.
