Where to install Transmission Cooler
Have a 94 Suburban C1500. I purchased a transmission cooler, dimensions are 8 "x 16"
x1.5" and would like to install it in front of the radiator ahead of the air conditioner condenser, but there does not appear to be enough room there. I have the factory installed wiring harness for towing, but the transmission lines go into the existing radiator. There was not a factory installed transmission cooler. Where were the factory installed coolers placed ? Any ideas on installation would be appreciated. |

Re: Where to install Transmission Cooler
A local transmission shop recently installed a transmission cooler in my company van.
The only place they do any good is in front of the other radiators. What type of hardware came with the coller you got? Some have posts that fit through the radiator fins. It should fit, and you'll have to cut one line to feed it to the new cooler. Which reminds me. That is one thing I need to attend to, rotting hoses on the tranny cooler feed. |
