Hi everyone! This is my first time posting, but I wanted to say that it's great to see other Caprice Classic car owners/ lovers here. Anyhow, I have a question....I have reciently tried to get my old factory installed radio out of my car, but have not had luck. The car is a 1985 Chevi Caprice Classic. This is what I have done so far:
- took out the bottom four screws that hold the radio together - taken out the top two screws above the vent controls (sorry, I couldn't come up with the techincal term) I can get the radio part way out, but what is holding it back is the faceplate for the radio and the vent controls are together as one, and the wires on the vent controls prohibit me from taking it out, what can I do? Please let me know, thanks! |

Re: Old Radio Removal
There are two screws that attach the HVAC controls and the radio together. Look closely they are black and easy to miss.
