Took apart Diecast model

So I am slowly easing into the modeling thing. I took apart a 1999 mustang GT by miasto today. Havnt seen so many screws in my life. The car is pretty much in pieces right now and I put everything back together in less then 5 minutes. So I think I will buy a kit soon

Pulling apart Die-Cast models = #1 sign you need to buy yourself a kit car

Been there done that.. Haven't gone back to die-cast since.

The first Revell New Beetle kit I bought got "assembled" in about 15 mins. I love snap kits! Be warned, most snap kits are much easer to put together than take apart!
Build models, Have fun!

well I took everything down now. Only thing that is left is the metal body and everything else is in pieces. I washed the inside with water to get the dust off and dried it. Now here is where it will be the hard part. Putting this baby back together! :'(

I wish I had a digital camera right now but i'm buying one soon

I need some help if anyone could.

The steering wheel fits back fine but where else does the long piece connectetd to the steering wheel go. Because I could turn the wheels before but now I dont know where to place the long piece.

Any help would be appreciated

there should be a loop type thing on the axel for the front wheels which looks like:
__
| |

then on the end of the long piece for the steering should be 1 or two prongs.... put 1 of them thru the middle of the loop

well at least that's how my die-casts worked...
