What Octane Gas?

I have been putting 87 in my baby for about a month now. I would like to know if I would notice an increase of power/performance if I used a higher octane of gas?

No. Our motors run best on "regular".

I go with the medium grade. Seems like the 87 goes right through my system like water.

Wish I knew. Never actually calculated it out. But I can tell b/c I do the same routine every week and I can just tell the difference. No powergains tho.

I know what you mean. I have a A/T p11 too. I swore to myself that my next car would be a manual, but here I am with this slushbox. I like the G35. I won't be modding out my car b/c there are some nice cars coming out so I'ma hold out and save dough.$

With some major upgrades. I was trying to get a celica gt-s and I found that they only use premium octane. And those are only a 4 cylinder w/ no turbo.

Lloyd: Very cute I don't remember DC gas being so $$$ this summer...

I have a p10 (stock) and I use 87 octane... works just fine for me. Oh, and I have a standard tranny, so I get KILLER highway mileage (about 35+ mpg). City mileage is at about 25 mpg at this point.

I started off using 89, but I don't really notice much difference to be honest. And now that 87 is at $.99/g I think I'll stick to it!

Options here in NZ are 91, 96 and 98 octane (only available at a few stations though), all unleaded. Mine runs best on the higher octane, I can get 40+ mpg on trips and around 30+ in town. I've got a tank of 98 in it at the moment, sure gives it more kick.
