Mph?

I recently went from 185/70R13 tires to 205/70R14 tires. Does this change my speed to where i'm going faster than what my speedometer says? Or am I going the same speed as my speedometer says?

go to Whalen Tire and go to the tites section. They tell you the changes made to your car (revs per mile, speed, etc) depending on your new tire size. I replaced my stock 195/60R/15s with 225/40/18s and it said when I am going 60mph, my speedo will say 59.7. Not bad at all. But some cars have much more of a difference.

Your speedometer is underestimating your actual speed by 8.3% so if your speedo shows 100MPH you're actually going 108.3MPH.

Aaaahhh. Good observation. I never did those calculations. makes sense. Thats a much more noticalbe difference. How would I get this adjusted? Is it a matter of reprogramming the ECU (which I have NO idea how to do) or is it a mechanical adjustment???
