manual valve body

hey, i was thinkning of just getting my c-4 turned into a manual valve boddy tranny, becuase of the fast shifting, cool factor, and its cheaper then converting to a manaul (tight budget..) anyone have any info on this? i don't know much about it

The novelty of a manual valve body wears off quickly on the street. Trust me, I daily drove a car with a C6 with a manual valve body for 2 years.

well, is it something that i should get a profressional to do, or can i do it myself.. i'm restoring my car myself so i know what i'm doing, but, is it one of thoughs things where you kinda need to have some experance to do?

and well its eaither i get a manual valve body or switch to a manual. so i don't mind shifting

Installing a valve body is not hard to do at all, only thing you gotta do is make sure the room you're working in is really clean, you don't want anything getting into the tranny. It's basically draining the fluid from the trans, pull the trans out of the car (or install it in the car, depending on how easy it is for you to pull a trans) undo a few screws to get the old valve body out, put the new valve body in, put on the trans pan, get it into the car and fill it up with fluid.

oh lol, so its nothing at all, i already got the trans out... along with everything else, so it won't be a problem, thanks a lot
