Mustang Vs. Prelude

1990 Ford Mustang Gt 25th Ann. 302 v-8 Paxton super charged.
Against. I knew it was built 'cause the rear end had five blot lugs. And traction bars. (no parachutte)
Verses
1981 Honda Prelude 1st Generation with a Buick Turbo V-6GM,Front wheel drive, (not stock) Ram air, Rebuilt Heads and pistons, Custom shorty headers straight back to the flow masters. And yes, NOS.
He finished 11.624 1/4
I finished 9.892, never hit NOS

I'm not done yet, this car is a feather, look for me.

If I were you, I'd put my flame suit on.

I always give everybody the benefit of the doubt, but with that outrageous of a set-up, there are...correction...there will be people that might not. The best way to head-off the doubters is with pics.

Just a heads-up, and welcome to AF.

Your putting enough power to run a 9.8 through a stock FWD tranny? A 9.8? Do you realize how fast that is? And you never even used your nitrous eh? You expect us to believe you could have ripped off a FASTER pass? I smell bullshit.

From looking at your other posts, you were inquiering on "motor swaps"... nothing bad right? Yeah, but this was just 2-3 days ago. I want you to prove me wrong though WITH pictures as I and plenty of others will raise the

Don't Mustangs come with 5 Lug wheels? I see nothing special about this observation.

EDIT: Or are you talking about the actual rear end?

That sentence confused me as well but it seems hes talking about the rear-end . Oh and the Foxes didnt really have 5 lug wheels, I believe the 91-93 foxes had the 5 Lugs, not sure the EXACT year. Anything prior to that had 4-lugs.

Actually no...

RWD cars like mine use traction bars to help keep axle hop down.

Look like these.

Wheelie bars are only used when the car has too much traction and raises the front wheels off. Hence the name... wheelie bar.

Look like these.

gotcha...but fwd drag race cars use wheelie bars to counteract the rear weight shift and keep the front tores firmly planted......but since they are fwd i don't think you can call them wheelie bars anymore....i'm not sure what their proper name is though....

thanks for the correction anyway

They should have 6 in my opinion, this would leave less room for the wheel to fly off.
...yes I'm still bitter....

anyway, whats up with the parachute????? do you have a parrachute on your car? if so do you drive off many cliffs?

If you want someone to believe such a fantastic story, don't post it on automotive forums, where people actually know what they are talking about...next time try the readers digest.

As far as the lug question here it is. 79-93 Fox Mustangs had 4-lug Wheels. 94 and current 5-lug. Just cause some has 5-lug on an older stang doesn't mean it's built cause it's only about $350 to change it over to 5lug. In fact most of the faster street Stangs still have 4-lug cause the guys spent the money on other parts and gave a shit about rim selection.
As for the rest of the story this is the biggets piece of BS I have heard on here yet. Not only does he have strange motor swap. He also ran a 9 second 1/4 mile pass in a front wheel drive car.......

That should be the last thing to raise the BS flag in his pile (of BS). Last I heard (haven't been following), FWD cars are in the low 8's. It is quite possible that they have broken into the 7's by now. As a matter of fact, there are (barely) street-legal Honda Civics that run in the high 9's with slicks.

Otherwise, I agree with the rest of your post.

I wasn't saying it was impossible. I'm saying that the amount of FWD cars running 9 second 1/4miles are so few and far between. Hell the amount of RWD are too but more so for FWD. You have to admit it is extremely rare.
