rotary in a B2000

ok, I know this is the RX7 forum but i figure id get many more replies here than in the bseries section. anyways, my boss just picked up a 83 B2000 and he went to a couple of speed shops and he is going to put in a rotary. I knew there was the 12A and 13B from the older ones, but the guy whos gonna sell him one said it would be 850 for a fuel injected 18v with a computer. do they make a 18v is my first question. and I am pretty sure the truck is really light cuz its tiny, but hes gonna build it up and put on a aftermarket turbo, he wants to eventually see like 11's or 12's. how hard do you think it will be to get there, Im more of ahonda guy myself and hes a old musclecar fanatic, so neither of us really know much about the rotary. can you please list some of the mods hes gonna need to build a powerful rotary.

the cool thing is, the rotary is going to bolt up the bell housing from its trany, and then that bolts up to his trucks stock tranny, at least thats what the shop says. so he cna have fun on that for a while, but eventually, the tranny on a 83 B2000 aint gonna hold the power of an 11 second truck is it? where do you go to have sopmething like this strengthened or who makes beefy trannies for old mazda trucks?

he wants to use that tranny sohe can use stock driveline and trans mounts and alls he has to fab is the engine mounts.

Mazda made a rotory pick up you shoudl research that. I do know that the pick ups need torque and rotories are lacking in that department.
