I really feel for you man. I had my system stolen about 2 years ago and I was pissed as shit. But good luck, you will be able to get it all back sooner or later.

i didnt have 10 grand into it though. i had maybe 1 grand, i had used 10W6s. also insurance covered it, the shit was stolen when the car was in my driveway. the main reason that it sucked was because it was on my fucking 16th birthday.

that really blows man....

in my previous post I was just using your post as a reference and talking to thumpin_cavilier ya know?

I really hope my system never gets stolen, I have a factory alarm and immobilizer, I also disabled the trunk release so there are only 2 ways to get into the trunk, using the key, or prying it to shreds with a crowbar. Hopefully if someone breaks in they'll just take my headunit and not try to rip apart my car to get to the goodies in the trunk. And one suggestion to EVERYONE....NEVER turn your system up around where you park, this includes home, school, the mall if you go there a lot, etc. It's much better to have your system turned down for that first and last 20 sec of your drive and have no one that lives near you know what you have then to risk it and have it stolen.

another thing. try to get your car sound deaden. less rattles (better overall sounding) and keeps bass in (more SPL).

Not to change this thread into stolen tips or anything, but heres a few. If you are looking at new subs, look heavier, if you like your car and are going to sell your system with your car, get everything fiberglassed in, remove the heads on the screws, here is the best one Get a Security System, before you get a sound system

also, bolt your box down. use different screws to slow them down. use screws that are uncommon. screw in your sub using different screws also. bolt the amp the same way. relocate your alarm thingy somewhere else because under the steering column is VERY common and they'll know where it is.
