I think it would look better if those lines were a little lighter. What colour did you use? black? if so, you should use brown, it looks much better...as is not so harsh

I hate painting panel lines, period. If you want the lines to look right, scribe them deeper with an xacto knife before painting. Go as deep as you can without physically cutting through the other side.

If you choose to use paint and you can see your panel line from all angles you know you did too much. Look at a real car and notice how the panel lines almost disappear from certain angles.

From your pictures it doesn't look too bad but like others said something lighter would work better such as grey. Maybe even just a darker shade of yellow.

IMO Painting panel lines is a bad decision all the time! It takes alot of realism out of your models. If you wast realistic looking models scribe them deeper like 008 said!

this is an old subject but go to your local carpark and look at the cars, they will all have a black line between doors etc, just buy a small tipped black felt pen 005 size at an art shop and they will be done in no time and they will be nice and thin. to say doing panel lines takes the realism away is just bullshit, "go back and look at a real car".

I used a 005 on this one. I have already stripped the paint off though. I needed to fix a mistake I had on the rear where the paint bubbled a little.
