Car wont stay running! Help !
I bought a 1990 FOrd Mustang LX 2.3L. I got it home on a flatbed. I try to start it but it wont stay running. When i put my diag to it it says error 22. Thats the map sensor. It COde reads like this MAnifold Apsolute Pressure Senor or barometric Pressure Sensor - Signal Voltage out of spec ( engine Of ) or not at normal vacuum levels ( engine running ). DOes this mean the senors is bad or just that the car is off ? I droped the gas tank, and cleaned it out. Checked the fuel pump, and the fuel sender. I am getting gas to the fuel bar, but not to the engine. I unhooked the air intake and sprayed some starting fluid in and bang she starts and then reves and then dies. Out of Burnable fuel.. So this tells me that no fuel is getting in to the cyls. So i took the injectors out and blew air through them and put them back in and bang same thing. The only other thing i can tell is that the fuel gauge reads a hair above empty until i turn the key. Then it dropes to way below empty. WIre Problem? Bad Ground? dont know. Any ideas would be helpfull. Thanks
