Question car wont stay running

2001 grand prix gt 3.8 NS Car starts fine fuel pump kicks in. I have to keep giving gas or it will die. Put it in drive and it goes let off the gas rpm gage drops to zero. please help

Do you smell gas at all?? sounds like it may be over fueling

With the car off, unplug the MAF sensor and then start it to see if it will stay running that way. If so, the MAF is bad (they don't always trip a check engine light). If you have a CEL, pull the codes and post here so we can better help you.

thanks for hte help turns out it was a bad ( really really really bad) i mean dirty bad IACV. I put a new one in and she fired right up. Thanks everyone for your help and as always enjoy your day.
