Exclamation 3rd gear grind

HI EVERYBODY GOT A QUIK QUESTION GOT A BAD GRIND GOING FROM SECOND TO THIRD "ONLY" AT HI RPM SHIFTS. IS THIS A KNOWN PROBLEM FOR HONDAS? I HAVE A DOHC SOL W/ 80,000 MILES AND A ACT CLUTCH. I DRIVE IT HARD BUT IT IS ALSO METICUOUSLY MAINTAINED. ANY ADVICE OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS

Are you shifting realy fast? If you are you grind your synchros when you shift real fast.

It might also be a short shifter if you have one of those that will mess your synchros up also so try ditching that if you have one and see if that works.

Time to replace 2nd & 3rd gear with synchros

You should NOT shift fast or hard. Think of the shift knob as a raw egg when you pull gears. It should be very smooth & some what quick, the most you can apply without breaking the egg.

"Kesnut do you press the clutch all the way in?"
Yes I do... why?

where can i get 2nd & 3rd gear with synchros from, i still runnin the d15 that came with the car...
this is why i was lookin to do a swap (crvtec)
lots for crvs there in trinidad a bock is like 500 us, parts for the D are very hard to find. an b16a cost like 1200 us. The nice thing about trinidad is we get only JDM and UK spec cars. But now B16 are like gold, 2 yrs back everyone was buyin' them up... but me... NOW....

Special ordered from the dealer, or get a used trans. That might need rebuilding, you wont know until installed.

local dealer said just over $8000 TT ($1 US $6.3 TT) to fix it. So i think it is time to swap, so i am goin' for the CRVtec. I'll be puttin' the day to day works at a web page for you guys.
Wish me luck.
