so are you trying to say that you have an auto tranny, and you are trying to rev it, if so the brake and gas thing may work, if not, stick that shit in neutral...

Auto tranny + neutral drop = NO CAR.

Yeah my bro ruined one of our family cars doing neutral drops. Boo on him. Rev away in Neutral if you so desire, just don't throw it into gear until the revs drop back down. If an auto tranny, braking and revving will work but it put a lot of stress on the driveline and brakes. Not generallly a good idea unless you do it very infrequently. And don't bounce off the rev limiter too too much.

my friend did nuetral drops everyday in his old car for a long ass time. one day the transmission just blew up and chucks went flying all over onto the road.
