its was a really good movie, but if you watch it, pay close attention to sam's rank. at one point he is lecturing ranger candidates, and he claims to be a seargent(sp), but if you look at his collar, hes got
specialist's ranks on, then later on he switch to master seargents

it didn't fit the rest of the movie, although i wont say anymore, just in case someone who hasn't seen it wants to

For some reason, the latest movies that John Travolta have been have all been advertised really well and everyone that has seen them have had mixed feelings for the most part(at least that's what Ive noticed). Ill probably rent it anyways, just because Im into those kinds of movies.

same thing with we were soldiers...mel gibson played a Light bird...err Lt Col and when he came home at the end he was a full bird colonel...weird stuff

I saw Basic this weekend...liked it...I don't sweat flubs too much. I actually had to watch it twice & was still a little confused as to how long they'd been in that unit & who they were after... If you liked the movie and want a laugh, go to imdb.com...people who left comments there are morons IMO. As for the ending, I think Travolta wanted it changed because....

My wife and I rented the movie yesterday. We were pleasantly surprised at how entertaining it was. Much better then I had anticipated.

I enjoyed the movie a lot.. I really like both Jackson and Travolta..
After Pulp Fiction, I'll watch anything with both of them.. !!!
