Does anyone in here drive or know anyone who has driven a miata outfitted with a Jackson Racing Supercharger? I just wanted to know how it performed. I small car like that with an s/c must be really fun to drive I suppose...

Hey, Johnny-
Do you (or anyone else) know what JC charges for that supercharger?

They run between 2-3000 dollars. Depends on the model.

The real issue with the JR S/C isn't anything other than price
erformance ratio.@ $2.8k just to own one, without engine management, intercooler, water injection, etc. it is lagging behind turbocharger kits. For 2.8k, a fellow could purchase a stage I turbo system from the dealer alternative www.flynmiata.com and upgrade that eventually to an FMII. 150RWP is nothing to 220RWP in a miata, and the SC with a more powerful pulley may get 180RWP. Fit and finish of the SC, and the 100k mile warranty are definite plusses for the SC though. It is just a question of do you want ultimate power, or transparent power generation. |
