I bought a ractive muffler a couple of years ago and it has a straight through loud yet deep sound. Pretty much any muffler will give you the sound you are looking for, as long as it is a straight though design. Check out e-bay for good prices.

good luck

Why do you want loud? Loud sucks...

Don't buy a Ractive. Those things seriously sound like hammered ass. I have one on my car. It's so nasty sounding.

My advice is buy a flowmaster or borla of whatever size you need, then get a large glasspack as a resonator (larger the deeper sound), then get a tip that looks like whatever you want. You have an extremely cost effective, deep muffler. Those 3 items, if you shop around, shouldn't cost more than $70 or so.

my muffler does not aound like hammered ass. more like a v-6 camaro. Putting a glass pack where your muffler is will get you a ticket quick bcause it will be too loud. Header, nice muffler, and a puched out cat or a free flow cat will do you just fine. borlas are too expensive and flowmasters aren't worth it. the tiburons have a loud deep natural tone at the block so any straight through muffler will sound good.

also those glass packs are shit because they only last a couple of years, pretty much you pay for what you get, but redoing a glass every couple of years or one nice chrome muffler once, and you can get it on e-bay for less thatn $50.

Glass packs and the cheapo ebay mufflers are the same thing. Glass packs are just cheaper. They're a metal surround with a fiberglass baffle. You're right putting a glass pack on instead of a muffler will be too loud, but so will putting on a cheap striaght through. That's why I didn't say to put a glass pack on as a muffler, I said as a resonator. And add a flowmaster because they are also cheap and work well, and are actually true mufflers. Why do you say flowmasters arent worth it, do you have any reasoning behind that?

If you need info on size and length of exhaust and headers for a custom job let me know.

BTW V6 Camaros sound like hammered ass too

putting a flowmaster on the tibs is just like having a stock one but with a flowmaster logo. I do have two questions for you though....did you put a header on, and did you have a problem with your o2 sensor?
the glass pack will rust out versus the 304 stainless that you can put on that is why I would suggest the 304 over a resonator. you can put a 304 in the same place but I would just get the pipe work all chromed if it is affordable. not trying to piss any one off but you pay for what you get thats why I would do the stainless you get more life out of it.

sounds pretty decent but the sound quality is hard to tell. did you full throttle it? when I put my foot down that is all you hear is the exhaust. sounds good though.
