Question got a question about a intake manifold swap?

ok i just bought a d16z6 ( i guess thats what a 99 civic lx has in it ) intake manifold for my d15b7 motor and was wondering a couple of things:
1. what will be the power gains if any.
2. will it actually fit my head ( and yes i know all d series motors are interchangable )
i know i should have gotten a little more info before buying it but hey 25 bucks for an intake manifold, fuel rail and injectors with all the hoses and shit didnt seem bad at all to me and it only has about 17,000 miles on it, and i guess if for some reason it doesnt work on my setup then i will sell it and get a whole lot more than i paid for it.

help me out guys....

Yes it should fit, but you won't get shit out of it. Maybe a horse or two at best. Its a waste of money and time. Also, unless you trick some fool, nobody is going to give you alot of money for it.

I'm kinda confused... You bought a '99 LX intake manifold? That's from a D16Y7 motor first off. Those are about one of the worst of the D-series IM's word is. It might be better than the B7 mani on your D15 motor, but it's not going to gain you nearly as much as a Y8 head manifold will (6th gen EX SOHC VTEC intake manifold). it will fit your motor though, but don't expect much out of it. If you want to beef up the gains from it slightly more, haf it ported and polished, as well as the part of your block it's going to attach to. But for $25, that's very good to gain you a horse or two. As for if you seel it, I wouldn't expect more than $75 at most for it.

well you know i didnt really figure it would give me that much but i heard that it will flow alot better than my d15 will so i said what the hell, you cant really beat 25 bucks for it and all that comes with it. about how much would i look at paying for a port and polish on that thing. hey i got an idea ill put the lx manifold on my fiances 99 ex and put the ex manifold on my car and sell my d15 manifold... hahaha yeah right she would kick my ass...lol, but seriously what kinda gains would i get from a ex manifold?

I honestly am not sure what gains the EX manifold would give you. Try asking around about that here and maybe your questions could be answered better. Good luck! I'm looking to do this mod myself to my car, or just swapping out to a complete EX motor.

That's just how my DX I/M looks like, and it would be the same as the LX one them having the same motor. D16Y7 intake mani.
