Help! Starting Problems

Hi there,I am new to these boards but now I have a problem and look to you guys to assist me.I just purchased my second 1990 Civic Si (totaled my last one) I've had this one for a week and now it has problems starting. The car will crank fine, but it just wont start.Anyone had this problem before?Any suggestions on what the cause could be would be greatly appreciated.

I thank you in advance for your assistance.

It could be a few things, im leaning toward main relay (as many ppl will). Does it start ever? Cuz if its the main relay itll start when its cooler outside but wont when its hot. Try banging on the underside of ur dash when its cranking to, worked for me, if that does work then its probly the main relay, but the real experts will probly want more info.

Gotta have three things: spark, fuel, and compression.
Check spark first, it's the easiest. Then loosen the fitting at the fuel filter and see if fuel sprays out. If you got spark and fuel, take out a spark plug, screw in a compression tester and check that.
Use the scientific method. NOT the process of elimination!
