Exclamation Getting a new car, You decide which!

well a mac truck backed into my car today, out of no were just backed up onto the front of my car. No signals or anything. Im getting around $1500, my car is totaled. Now im thinking about a new car to get.

280ZX turbo - would get intercooler, exhaust, intake and boost it up, handling stuff too.

300ZX Turbo Z31 - Would do the same stuff to this as the 280ZX turbo

240SX S13 - realnissan starter kit turbo, exhaust, rims, intake

240Z/280Z - Would swap in a 280ZX turbo engine, do exhaust, intake intercool it and boost it up. OR put in a V8 but thats a little more work then i want to do.

Im looking for reliability and speed and handling, i know i can find it with nissan. I love the way they all look and feel. The Z cars are a part of japanese racing history.

Please vote on which one you think i should get, i realy cant decide

well since your sig says a police chase will be cool then i would get the 240sx rps13(hatchback) with a sr20det swap that will be awsome but if you get caught that will suck.

That could make him anywhere from 10 and 11. Lol. Shouldn't even be on AF.

I think you should try to get a 240Z that would be tyte, old z's are so cool and especially if you swap in a new engine those things can have some major power.

It looks like im gonna get a Z31 turbo with the strip taillight, i love S13's but i dont realy want to swap an engine, turboing it is something i would do. Im pretty sure i can get alot more power from the Z31 with basic mods, intercooler, exhaust, intake and boost controller and a super sound bov for that awsome sound. I should be somewere in the 260-270hp range. The S13 is lighter and most likely more reliable but it wont be that easy to get to that power level. Yeh im gonna keep on the look out for a classic Z's but i usualy never find em in the paper, but if i do come across one for a good price i'll snatch it up, last time i saw one it was for a 240Z with 27,000 miles and it was for $12,000 so that was a little out of my range. If i get a 280Z i'll get the big bore kit and a subtle Z widebody kit.

Oh yeh and that 200ZR is sick, I want one of those hood scoops. Probaly when im 40 or something i'll have enough money for a swap.

I bet the handling of the 240sx is much more enjoyable compared to the huge 300zx, but go with what will make you happiest...

yeh, i changed my mind about the Z, i was gonna do exhaust and intercool it then crank up the boost till i can smoke a twin turbo Z32, but this kid i know is being a real dumbass, he just took all the fun out of having a Z by being so stupid. "Yeh im running 18psi" um no your not you have all stock shit and no boost gauge, he is so stupid you have no idea. i've never been so frustrated in my life. And on top of that finding a 300ZX turbo with the strip tailights w/ 5speed is getting very very hard to find in my area. I dont think anything in my area can last more the 10 years with so much salt and rain and snow. Z's get rusty pretty easy. On the other hand s13's arent that rare and are pretty cheap too. So i guess until i can finaly get myself to move down to the warmer states im gonna have to stick with the 240sx. Plus its more reliable and if i turbo it and do what i had originaly planned to do the car will be faster then a twin turbo z and be more reliable and easier to work on. so here's my plan

- Real nissan starter kit
- 3" exhaust with no muffer and high flow cat
- Super sound blow off valve
- Boost controller
- Turbo timer
- K+N filter
- Custom intercooler (probaly grand national or something cheap)
- Some fancy gauges
- Cross drilled rotors
- Anti-sway bars
- Some nice 16 or 17" rims, most likely get'em off ebay
- Z rated tires
- Lower it a little bit, i still want to be able to go over speed bumps
- PDM side skirts and front lip
- Wangan wing

and most likely theres some stuff i forgot, i already got the sound stuff done from my last 240sx, 2 10" 500watt each subs w/ 1000watt amp, i still need a new head unit, something cheap that i can play cd's on. I have some clarion door speakers that work pretty well too.

Im going to have a website up pretty soon with updates on the project and stuff so i'll put it in my sig when its up. I still got to get a banner made for it then it is ready.

The picture i posted is from pdm racing, my car should some-what like that when im done
