Well guys (and gals?) I finally made it to the local track (well sorta local from my parents house) up in Phoenix on Wednesday night. It was much cooler out from the last time i ran, as the last time i ran it was aobut 105 degrees out, and it was about 65 outside. Anyways, to the good part. Here's one of my timeslips.
Reaction: 1.137 (shhh... i'm sleeping) ![]() I1 (60ft): 2.444 (i couldn't launch worth a crap, best of the night was 2.408) I2 (880?): 6.583 I3 (1.8?): 10.000 mph (I3): 72.020 I4 (?) : .000 E.T. : 15.441 MPH : 91.494 Well, I was happy, and not at the same time. As the track wasn't prepped, and i got real bad wheelspin no matter where i launched, even as low as about 2800rpms I also think I put the final dagger in my motor mounts too (wheelspin, then varied hop on most every run will do that) DOH! Anyways, i had a couple 15.4s, quite a few 15.5s and 15.6s. My mph ranged from 90.239 (think i hit the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift on that run ) up to 91.585. and i would have gone faster but i thought that lowering my tire pressure would help reduce wheelspin (and hop), but all it did was hurt my mph. Oh well, now i know.

WOW thats pretty good. Makes me wonder how my car would do up there. You got in the 90 mph range damn thats great. Down here with my old motor and just a intake i could only get up to like 82 or 83-ish with a 16.6 being my best.If i get all the bugs worked out i might go up there this weekend...chances are looking slim.
good runs....

hmm.. yeah, with the same horrible 60fts (DOH!) and intake and header. I was up around 88-89mph last winter up there. However, over the summer, with more mods (and a lot higher temps) i was also trapping around 89 so who knows... let me know if you're thinking about heading up to Firebird too, i'd like to go, as it's a lot closer than speedworld. or even the tucson track for that matter, i'd go there too, just for the practice.
