Need Help With A Lighting Problem

when i got my body kit put on, my front turn signals had to go too because there was no spot for them on my kit (as you can see below). so i thought it would be ok to just use the parking brake light on my projectors(yellow) as my new turn signal by tapping into the old turn signal wires. well it turns out that it works, but it blinks really fast, almost like those hyper blinkers you see sometimes. does anybody know why this is or how to fix it?

here's the before picture...(i highlighted the OLD turn signals, this is the wire i tapped into)

You mean there's a problem that the almighty sp3cial bl3nd, who likes to ride snowboarders, can't figure out?

Here's my advice to solve your problem.

1. Walk to the edge of a cliff.
2. Jump off.

One less problem...

I think it has something to do with the turn signal relay in the fuse box.

Normally you have a certain amount of energy shooting to your turn signals, and since you have a missing pair from your turn signals, the extra energy causes the remaining turn signals to blink faster. Its just as, if you were to remove your rear blinkers, the front ones would blink fast... and vice versa. There is no problem, its just the way it is. If you dont like it, then you could take a supra bumper light, install it into your bumper and use that as our new bumpler light.

Exactly, and that is how you know when one of your blinkers has blown out, your turn signals will blink really fast and that tells you one is out & needs to be replaced!!

The reason your turn signals speed up is because of a decrease in the amount of current (read heat) going through your flasher unit in the fusebox. You can remedy your problem by replacing your old flasher unit with an electronic type which is available at your local parts store. Just look in the ricer section where they keep the light up exhaust tips and the APC windshield banners. They are used with the new LED bulbs because they are not sensitive to current changes. Good luck!
