Ran codes, got code 29..... Help!
A little over a week ago when I had my converter installed, I noticed that my idle has gotton a little bouncy while in D. I reset the computer thinking that it was simply the car getting use to the new converter, but a week later it is still bouncy and is now stalling at times while idleing in D. Even though my check engine light was not coming on, I ran the codes and got code 11 (system pass) and code 29 (vehicle speed sensor; signal voltage is too low). Does anyone know what the vehicle speed sensor is and where it is located? I feel this is the problem.

iTs a plug-in on the left side of the trans tail, held on with a 10mm bolt. It has the speedo gear attached to it. At least that is on a t-5 not sure on an auto.

I had the same prob in my 87GT AOD when I changed Stall Convertors. My car has no VSS. I had to re-adjust my TPS.

I went to my local parts store this morning and picked up a new speed sensor for $25. When I pulled the old one out from the tranny the speedo gear was literally destroyed. It was missing half of its teeth. Luckily, I had a spare
. So I put the gear on the new sensor, put it in the tranny and reset the computer. The car runs fine now. Idles perfect, doesn't stall, nothing. Been fine all day, I hope it last!!!
