lug threads
when i was having my car towed to the car shop, i forgot to tighten the lug nuts and my wheel came off and messed up the inside of the wheel, the outside rim of the brake rotor, and messed up the threads of the lugs or whatever they are called. if i buy a new rotor, will it come with those, or do i need the bolts themselves?

rotor wont come with em. your gonna need the studs themselves. FourthGenHatch has a good howto on his website of the process.

so do i need to cut part of the stud itself off? looks easy enuf but i just didn't understand the cutting part.

Try sticking a new wheel stud in that hole, its not goin to fit because it can't clear the hub. You need that extra tiny bit of room you get to move it by cutting the side of it off.

ok cool, i have my newest project, probably for this week, just gotta charge up the dremel
and cutting the side odd womn't weeken it or anything will it?

i haven't had any problems with my studs that are cut... try to not go overboard on it though...

Honestly that method isn't exactly as good as pulling the hub and doing it that way. But you still have like 80% of the seating area and everythign which is plenty, once they are seated they aren't going anywhere and they are probably equally as good as in whole from by that time. It's been many months and I've had no problems.

ok on hte how to he said he just cut off hte threaded part of the stud and knocked the rest out of the back, but i tried that and there just isn't enuf clearance, or so it appears. do i have to cut off hte head or anything? i've cut the ends off two so far, but it looks like there just isn't enuf room.
also, if i were to take the hub off, do i need to replace the bearings, or could i just regrease them and pound the studs in and out that way?

You need a hydrolic press to get the hub in and out of the knuckle. So thats why my way is easier. By cutting the threads that means use a Dremel or something and cut enough off the end of the stud so you can bang it out the back. You shouldn't even have to cut that much of it off.
