Ferrari Testarossa
hey guys i just ordered the revell ferrari testarossa..does it come with an engine??and what things should i modify??im thinking of putting 2 NOS tanks.and whats a good red paint for it...thanks

For the paint, maybe a few base coats of Silver Leaf and a few candy coats of Mica Red????

Try using Tamiya Smooth Surface Epoxy Putty. (at least i think that's wut they call it).

Yes, it comes with an engine of reasonable quality.

Regarding the NOS, it is an interesting idea- although I am not familiar with NOS equipped Ferraris, I did see a Lotus Esprit V8 with twin tanks at an area car show.

I had that kit once and it is pretty nice. The engine is pretty good but you will have a little problem trying to fit all the parts into the engine bay because of tight space, especially the exhaust system. Can't wait to see your progress thread.

Don't have any engine pix handy.

Google search turned up one though.

There is also a book on the 512tr (online book stores) I got mine at a local store.

Another good place to find pix is E-bay. Look in the Automotive listings. search by Marque. I'm not sure there are any 512's on right now but they do come up quite often.
