So, it's basically a lock for your hood, and/or a secondary key lock for your trunk? Sounds interesting. I don't know if I'd really go for it (I've always been told, if someone wants in, they'll get in- locks are designed mostly to keep honest people honest.) I guess it depends on how concerned you are about another break-in attempt. If you're really thinking about it, at least go for some sort of lock with a tumbler mechanism (your standard jagged key type) Those pin style locks aren't very effective- When we were younger, I was witness to my cousin (no joke) successfully pick the lock on my grandfathers computer case- with his teeth!! (Computer cases have the same type of pin lock) If there's one thing I've learned about security for an automobile, it's: Park in a well lit and easily seen spot, hide any valuables, and, most importantly, cross your fingers There are just some people that, sadly, don't give a rats'-ass for the personal property of others.

thats true. i was also thinking that having those hood locks would just cause more attention to my car. having locks is kinda saying i have something good and i dont want it stolen. being a sleeper is probably the best type of security. guess ill try that crossing fingers thing

I always thought hoodpins were pointless unless you're on a track and needed that extra 10 seconds. But hey if you're goin for looks why not.

strodda, where did you get that front grille?
