Hey I am buying an LCD.. Pics below and there is a nice flat spot on the hatches dash for it to sit.. I just dont know how I am going to secure it... I dont want to put any holes in the dash or damage it... but I know double sided tape doesnt work on dashes as it just slips off,,, What else can I do? Here is a pic of the lcd and stand so you know how it looks..
Thanks

The best way to do it would be to use some screws, would be really easy.
If you clean the area really well, double-sided tape should work. Just swab the hole area with rubbing alcohol to remove any residual Armorall or whatever, and then wash with a little soapy water to get rid of the residue left by the alcohol... the tape should adhere better that way, and you may want to use a heat-gun to warm up the tape so that it sticks better. I still say go with screws though.

Could try Crazy Glue, but then, you might never get it off. I've used a hot glue gun on some interior pieces before. I like it the best since it holds well on plastics, and can be easily peeled off if I mess up.

3m makes some really high end double sided tape... I mean, they stick trim panels onto cars with the stuff...

yea your best bet would be to use screws to secure it..because after awhile double sided tape would start to get less stickey. but i like the screen how much did you get that for?
