Question The Best 60's Pontiacs

I was just wondering what everybody thinks are the best Pontiacs from the 60s.
IMO
1. SD Catalina
2. 69 Trans Am
3. 66 GTO
4. 66 Bonneville
5. 61 Tempest

Tough choice

Tough choice. But the best: 63 SD Catalina. The most influential: '64 GTO. The one I want: '69 GTO convertible.

Seems like I am not the only one that likes the 69 GTO. Ram Air IV of course.

Ok, I left the Judge R/A out, and I'll agree that a '61 Tempest is not a muscle car it just looks better than the '63 which I consider to be one. IMO the rest are, but I could be wrong.

I'd say 67 GTO with a 389 and a 65 tri power setup put into it.

Even though it isnt a muscle car, I'd say my 60's pontiac is one of my favs

Can't argue with that list, pretty mch hit them all on the head. Obviously engine choices will be the only deterimining factor in everyone else's choice.

Gotta go with the '66 GTO. Not only is it the nicest of the GTOs, but one of the nicest muscle cars ever... I guess that's just my oppinion, a biased oppinion considering I own one.

No offense, but I like the 65 better. It's a tiny bit smaller and the grille doesn't protrude in so far. Also it's more of a flat front end rather than semi pointy. Just my opinion.

Well, it's just an oppinion. I like how far the grilles are sunk into the nose, and I look at the design as more rounded rather than pointy. I do love the '65s, along with everyother year, but the '66s just seem more 'muscular' to me. I think the majority of GTO fans would say '65-'67 were the nicest years of the GTO.

I think the '66 is the best looking. (Correct me if I'm wrong-->) I don't like the wrap around the corner tail lights on the '65 and 64-65 are just to boxy for me.

Thanks. I am alone in my liking of the 61- 63 tempest? They're one of the coolest cars IMO, 195.5cid slant four, rope drive, to a rear trans axle all you have to do is put a 389 in it and you have a 40+ year old C5 (basically)
