I have the Harman Kardon upgraded stereo in my MINI and I read that it has options for SIRUS and a CD changer, but what I really want to find out is if there is an Audio in R/L port that I can plug my iPod into??? I have not ventured as far as to unscrew the dash to get to the back of the head unit, so I thought I'd ask here first. Since I have no cassette, the only other option is a FM transmitter, and they kinda suck, especially here in Los Angeles where the airwaves are all used up.
P.S. I'm not using a CD changer right now. thanks! |

you can buy an aux cable from bmw for the mini. i put one in mine in about 5 minutes. the cable retails for about $40 US. pop down the left under dash trim. reach around to the back of the radio and feel for the spot the plug will connect into. once you plug in, turn on the deck and hit 'mode" till it says "aux". the instructions indicate that the input jack goes in the glove box but i find that it is more covenient if it is mounted between the extra gauges if you have the gauge package or in the plastic trim behind the cup holder-ashtray spot under the toggle switches.
