I NEED HELP WITH SOME INFO, PLEASE. WHAT DO I NEED TO PUT A D16A1 MOTOR&TRANNY FROM A 89 INTEGRA INTO A 92 3DOOR CIVIC. THANKS FOR THE INPUT! SCRAP |

You're swapping an old ass non-OBD motor in your OBDI chassis? It's a waste of money and illegal.

If he doesnt live in Cali, he could get away with it. Not all states know about people swapping out. Here, all it needs to do is have a muffler, and pass smog. However unless his hatch is an Si, he needs a swap, just not this one. Get a 92-95 Si motor D16Z6 if youre trying to be cheap. If you have the Si, youll have to go with 94+ Integra, and 92+ B16A motors.

its totally not worth your time to put the old teg motor in, especially since it sucked so much, save some money and get something from the same year range.
