In progress: Ferrari 250 LM (95% completed)
This is the picture of my Ferrari 250 LM model kit by Academy. Most of the kit is finished except for the clear parts (windscreen, air scoop and headlight cover).
Top view: ![]() Side view: ![]() Rear view: ![]() Front view: The colour is Super Italian Red by Gunze, four layers of clearcoat and polish. Decals is from Museum Collection. Comments are welcome...

Look's sweet, except those wheels are bit odd. But I guess they are straight from the box? -Mikko |

It is an Academy kit. I think Academy is the only company that produces the 250 LM in 1/24 scale. It is a curbside kit but the interior is quite good, very nice details and yes, it is straight from the box, except I lower the front wheels a little bit because it sits too high.

So would you recommend this kit? Is it accurate enough? And yours looks like a beauty, btw!

It's quite accurate. The interior detail is quite nice. Not much cleaning to be done. And it gives an option whether to build a street version or a rally version(decals for the rally version is provided, but no istruction where each decals go). The downside is, the Ferrari decals on the side is bad, the fitting for the headlight cover is not so good and the photo-etch provided for the area around the head-light cover will not fit (that's why I use bare-metal foil). I use the decals from Museum Collections to replace the decals on the side and front. Other than that, it's a good kit and I would recommend it.

Beautiful model. Can't wait to see it fully done. Too bad the kit doesn't include the lovely photetched Borrani wire wheels that are in Gunze Sangyo 250GTO's. That's the only improvement I could possibly make to it.
